By using QALadder you're agreeing to what's below. It's short because the site is simple: it's free, it teaches software testing, and there's nothing to buy.

What QALadder is

A free educational site: a 24-week roadmap from manual QA to SDET, an interview question bank, browser-based practice labs, and QA tools. There is no paid tier, no subscription, and no credit card anywhere. An account is optional and exists only to save your progress.

Using the content

Everything written here — the questions, model answers, guides and articles — is original work and remains our copyright.

You may read it, study from it, use it to prepare for your own interviews, quote short passages with a link back, and share links freely.

Please don't republish substantial portions on another site, sell it, scrape it in bulk, feed it wholesale into another product, or present it as your own. If you'd like to use something more substantially, ask — the answer is often yes.

Code samples are a deliberate exception: use them in your own work freely, no attribution needed. They exist to be used.

Your account

Keep your password to yourself, give a real email address so account recovery works, and don't create accounts by script. You can delete your account at any time by emailing us.

We may suspend an account that's attacking the site, abusing the AI assistant, or trying to break things for other people. In practice this has meant automated abuse, not disagreements.

The AI assistant

Ask AI has a daily quota, which is what keeps it free. It can be wrong — it's a language model, and it will occasionally state something incorrect with total confidence. Verify anything that matters. Don't paste confidential information into it: employer code, client names, credentials or personal data. What happens to that data is described in the privacy policy.

The Code Lab

Python runs inside your browser. Other languages run in a third-party sandbox (Piston), so don't put anything confidential in them. Don't use the Code Lab to attack anything, mine cryptocurrency, or do anything you wouldn't do on your own machine.

What we promise, and what we don't

We try to keep the site accurate, working and available. But this is a free service run by one person on a single small server, so honestly:

• It may go down. There's no uptime guarantee.
• Content may contain mistakes. Tell us and we'll fix them.
• Studying here does not guarantee you a job, an interview, or a particular salary. Nothing on this site is a promise about your career outcome.
• The interview material reflects how these interviews generally run. It is not inside information about any specific company, and no company described here has endorsed or reviewed it.

Legally: the site is provided "as is", without warranties, and we're not liable for losses arising from using it. Practically: it's free, it's built in good faith, and if something's broken we want to know.

Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, Jira and every other product named on this site belong to their respective owners. We reference them factually, as any educational material does. None of them sponsor, endorse or are affiliated with QALadder. Where we describe a company's publicly documented hiring assignment, we describe it in our own words and link to the original source.

Links out

We link to external sites we think are useful. We don't control them and aren't responsible for what they contain or do.

Changes

These terms may change; the date at the top will say when. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept it.
